Terms & Conditions

WOW Party Hire and the renter agree to the following rental contract:

  1. WOW Party Hire agrees to rent to the Renter, and the Renter agrees to rent from WOW Party Hire, the equipment listed in the chosen package.
  2. Rental period - will last from the time of delivery till the arranged pick up time, which will be discussed and agreed between WOW Party Hire and the Renter. If the Renter does not present the equipment to WOW Party Hire at the time and date when the equipment rented has been agreed to be picked up, the Renter will incur an additional rental charge of $250 per day for each day or partial day beyond the end of the rental period until the equipment is returned.
  3. Damaged/Lost Equipment - Renter will return the equipment to WOW Party Hire in the same good condition as received. If the equipment is damaged before the Renter returns it, the Renter will be responsible for the cost of repair, up to the replacement cost of the equipment. If the equipment is lost before Renter can return it, Renter will pay WOW Party Hire its replacement cost.
  4. WOW Party Hire reserves the right to not set up a machine if the environment is deemed to be unsafe for the equipment, or for the driver to set it up if the location is not safely accessible due to stairs, elevation and steep descents.
  5. If a client helps a driver to set up the equipment, this is their decision and we do not accept responsibility if the customer injures themselves in any way.
  6. Heat Policy – Machines may not operate to their optimum in hot conditions. On days where it is 30 degrees or higher, WOW Party Hire recommends the equipment be placed inside and most definitely not in direct sunlight. If WOW Party Hire recommendations are ignored then the reliability of the machines will not be guaranteed and refunds not given.
  7. Faulty Equipment - if equipment fails, the client should ring Wow Party Hire at the very first opportunity so a remedy can be explored.  If the client fails to do this then it may affect any refund request.  Refer Call Out Policy & Refund Policy for further.
  8. Call Out Policy – If the equipment fails through no fault of the users, then WOW Party Hire will attend if : a) the failure is a major component of the equipment being used (at discretion of WOW Party Hire) b) it is still a viable time to attend, eg the party is scheduled to finish in 40 minutes and it would take 30 minutes to get there (at the discretion of WOW Party Hire) – WOW Party Hire will not attend if a) it is a minor fault , eg party light globe blows, batteries in a cordless microphone go flat (at the discretion of WOW Party Hire) b) it is clear from the description given, that the fault can not be fixed and there is no replacement available c) it is clear the fault has been caused by the users, if so call out can occur with a minimum fee of $75.
  9. Refund Policy – WOW Party Hire will determine any refund due. Refunds will not be discussed until equipment is returned.  If the client does not notify Wow Party Hire of a fault at the earliest opportunity then it may negatively impact on any refund requests.
  10. Cancellation Policy – WOW Party Hire requires to be informed in writing of cancellations (SMS or emails are sufficient) as soon as possible. A deposit refund will only be considered if more than 7 days notice is given and WOW Party Hire has not declined to take further bookings because of your commitment. If WOW Party Hire attends at an address for delivery and the booking is cancelled, all monies paid will be kept. If no monies have been paid then a $100 fee is payable.
  11. Payment terms - payment is due on or before delivery.  Payment may be cash, credit card or bank transfer (received prior to delivery).  Please note, that credit card payments attract a fee which is approximately 1% of the transaction fee (rounded to a whole figure)
  12. WOW Party Hire reserves the right at any time to change our prices on the website.
  13. Some public holidays and public holiday eve’s attract a price surcharge.
  14. Equipment delivery is free in most areas of Melbourne. Check our delivery map for areas covered and any additional charges that may be incurred.
  15. Equipment pick up on the same night can be arranged from 9pm-2am. An additional fee of $50 applies to a night pick up.
  16. The client must advise WOW Party Hire if there is steep terrain or stairs so we can make arrangements for delivery. We reserve the right not to deliver equipment if this information is withheld from us.
  17. Renter agrees to defend, indemnify, assume liability for and hold WOW Party Hire harmless from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, suits, proceedings, penalties, expenses or other liabilities including attorney fees and court costs, arising out of or resulting from the use of the Equipment, regardless of the basis.
  18. Renter may not transfer this contract to another party without the prior written consent of WOW Party Hire.
  19. If you hire a photobooth and choose not to have an attendant.  WOW Party Hire will not be responsible should lighting change which requires alterations of camera settings.  Should a call out be requested to adjust these settings, then a fee of $50 will be incurred.
